Walt Disney characters - An introduction to some lovable characters

The Walt Disney characters are many and varied, Disney have brought us characters that we can relate to, which have brought a tear to our eye and which have made us gasp in terror. There have been the lovable and cuddly Walt Disney characters such as Bambi and Dumbo and there have been unforgettable characters such as Captain Jack Sparrow from The Pirates of the Caribbean.

While the entire Walt Disney characters are too numerous to mention there are some firm favorites with people of all age groups. Perhaps the most well remembered and first thought about of the Walt Disney characters is of course Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse was the first character that came from the mind of the great Walt Disney when he emerged in Steamboat Willy. From here Mickey Mouse featured in numerous cartoons and then went on to have a club named after him, the Mickey Mouse club. Now online the Mickey Mouse clubhouse offers numerous online games for the younger children aimed at having fun and also learning.

Another firm favorite is of course Winnie the Pooh, Pooh bear and friends Tigger, Piglet and Eyore are all lovable Walt Disney characters, who along with Christopher Robin enthralled children of all ages with their adventures throughout the hundred acre wood. The cuddly bear went on to star in movies and DVDs and remains a firm favorite even today.

No mention of Walt Disney characters would be the same without the inclusion on the characters that featured in Walt Disney's first full length feature film Snow White. While the central character was of course the beautiful maiden Snow White, the seven dwarves were also a huge part in the success of the film. These Walt Disney characters brought a laugh to everyone with their antics. Doc, Sneezy, Grumpy, Bashful, Sleepy, Dopey and Happy made up the dwarves and each had their own character, which of course was based on their name.

The Jungle Book also featured many Walt Disney characters that will always be remembered. Mowgli of course the jungle boy, left in the jungle as a baby and brought up among the many diverse, at times frightening, lovable and funny Walt Disney characters Baloo the bear, Bagheera the Tiger , King Louie the orangutan and the hypnotic slivery snake Kaa. Together they all captivated a wide eyed audience who watched as the boy grew into a man.

The little elephant Dumbo with the over sized ears was one of the Walt Disney characters that had us all laughing and crying at the same time. Who can forget the scene where they take his mother away and lock her in the small cage for protecting her son, there probably wasn't a dry eye in the house as little Dumbo sat outside her cage holding her trunk, a tear slowly rolling down his little face.

Bambi the little deer was another of the Walt Disney characters that brought a tear to our eyes when his mother was killed by hunters. Bambi had us all on the edge of our seats as the fire ripped through the jungle and animals were forced to flee. Walt Disney characters had everything, they could make us fall about laughing in one moment, the next we would be on the edge of our seats praying the character won or made it out of the situation and the next they brought a tear to our eye. The Walt Disney characters featuring in all movies pleased children and parents alike.
